Love hearing the ins and outs of your process. It's so tricky to decide where to put our precious energy. What deserves it, as you note. Congratulations on deciding on the screenplay Did You Hear That?! I love that one!

thanks for sharing this. it's inspiration in getting myself unstuck. for me, I have a super hard time getting back up to initiatives after a life gut-punch. sometimes warranted, but sometimes kinda silly.

YES!!! I’ve heard about this story time and again over the years - with a bit of regret and massive relief that I wasn’t involved.

FWIW your hyphens and footnotes are the unexpected glitter in your dispatches. Brava!!

Hahah love this one Susan. I feel like sometimes, looking at just how much work you have created over time can be SO encouraging, especially when you feel like you haven't "finished" anything. So, back pat from me for that, too. And A+ for footnotes and A++ for every usage--correct and incorrect--for those guys. No, you can NEVER have too many (though, the double hyphen is technically an em dash. I'm a serial em dasher....)

I’m glad you like to write as I like reading what you write.

I love it. I'm telling you; it will get made and then you'll become too famous for me, but can I at least be a part of the reading?

I have felt stuck many times over the past year. My brain gets entrenched on an unhealthy path and it's hard to see a way out. To deal with this I keep a list of reminders on my phone. When I'm feeling lost, stuck, sad, lonely, anxious, or whatever, I look at them and they help get me back on track. Some are complex and relate to specific areas where I struggle. Some are as simple as "breathe" and "stay in the moment." They all help me keep going forward😊
